The Chainsmokers
The Chainsmokers are back with another hit single. “Don’t Let Me Down,” featuring Drew Taggart and Alex Pall, marks the duo’s third collaboration since forming in 2013.
The song debuted on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart at No. 2, behind Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You.” This week, it peaked at No. 1, becoming the band’s second number one on the chart. It’s the group’s fourth top 10 hit overall, following “Closer,” “Somebody Else” and “Roses.”
The track follows up on the success of their previous collaborations, including “Something Just Like This” and “Take Away.” In addition to writing and producing songs for artists like Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, DJ Snake and Selena Gomez, the pair also co-wrote and performed on Maroon 5’s 2016 hit, “Girls Like You.”
In support of “Don’t Let Me…”, the duo announced a North American tour starting April 15 in Vancouver, British Columbia. They’ll play sold out venues across Canada, followed by dates in the United States and Europe.
The Chainsmokers’ debut album, Memories…Do Not Open, dropped in 2017. Their sophomore effort, Future Hearts, came out in 2018.
