sunday morning lyrics

sunday morning lyrics
Yeah
Sunday morning, rain is fallingSteal some covers, share some skinClouds are shrouding us in moments unforgettableYou twist to fit the mold that I am in
But things just get so crazyLiving life gets hard to doAnd I would gladly hit the road, get up and go if I knewThat someday it would lead me back to youThat someday it would lead me back to you
That may be all I needIn darkness she is all I seeCome and rest your bones with meDriving slow on Sunday morningWell I never want to leave
Yeah, fingers trace your every outline, oh yeah, yeahYeah, aint a picture with my hands, ohh!And back and forth we sway like branches in a stormChange the weather still together when it ends
That may be all I needIn darkness she is all I seeCome and rest your bones with meDriving slow on Sunday morningAnd I never want to leaveYeah
Oh yeahBut things just get so crazy living life gets hard to do (life gets hard)Sunday morning rain is falling and I’m calling out to youSinging someday it’ll bring me back to you, yeah (someday oh, someday oh)Find a way to bring myself back home to you
You may not knowThat may be all I needIn darkness she is all I see (you are all I see)Come and rest your bones with meDriving slow on Sunday morning, driving slow
Yeah, yeahAh, yeah, yeahAh, yeah, yeahAh, yeah, yeahAh, yeah, yeahAh, yeah, yeahAnd a flower in your hairI’m a flower in your hairOh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeahOh, woah, yeah

2002–2006: Songs About Jane and Dusick’s departure

Between the time that we started working on our second record, we had been touring constantly, doing some pretty intense work, and I think it really took a toll on us. We weren’t necessarily having fun anymore. So we went into the studio and recorded, because we wanted to make another record, but we didn’t want to do what we’d done before. And we thought, “Well, let’s try something different.”

We did in 2002, and it was very successful, and that gave us confidence that maybe we could do something else again. But it wasn’t exactly like we wanted to go out there and tour every single night. We just felt like we needed a break. When you’re touring constantly, you don’t really have much downtime. You’re always thinking about where you’re playing next, how you’re going to rehearse, what you’re going to eat, etc., and it’s hard to take care of yourself. So we figured that we needed a break, and we knew that we couldn’t stop working completely, so we figured we’d just start writing songs and see what happened.

I remember sitting down one day, and I wrote “. It came together
